FC St. Pauli defender Hauke Wahl is rumored to join Wolfsburg. A transfer is not yet finalized. The 32-year-old Hamburg native started 30 league matches last season and scored one goal and two assists. According to sources at Kicker.de, Wahl has already agreed to a contract with Wolfsburg. However, no deal has been finalized between his current employer FC St. Pauli and the Lower-Saxony club. Popular German tabloid Sport BILD has also picked up on the rumor and mentioned a seven-figure transfer fee. Wahl is still under contract with the recently relegated Hanseatic until 2028, meaning they are under no pressure to sell. The 32-year-old Hamburg native is currently valued at €1.5 million according to Transfermarkt.com and could be the first player signed under new coach Tobias Strobl's reign.
