FC St. Pauli wins fourth pre-season test, Ceesay suffers serious injury
FC St. Pauli won their fourth pre-season test, but striker Abdoulie Ceesay suffered an injury. The 2:1 win against HNK Gorica in Anif, Austria, was an important victory for the Hamburg team. However, the game was marred by the possible serious injury to Ceesay.
The 22-year-old striker had to be substituted in the 33rd minute with a right foot injury and was unable to leave the field on his own. The test match against the Croatian top-flight club was the first of two games in the training camp in Flachau. Louis Oppie (20) put the Hamburgers in the lead. After a mistake by goalkeeper Ben Voll in the build-up, the Croats equalized through Ante Erceg (30). In the second half, Ricky-Jade Jones (77) scored the winning goal.
