FC St. Pauli will remain in Regionalliga Nord after TSV Havelse stays in 3. Liga. The U23 team can now compete in the fourth tier. The Norddeutsche Fußball-Verband announced this in a press release. Andreas Bornemann, Sports Director of FC St. Pauli, comments on the decision: „The fact that our U23 can now play in the Regionalliga is good news, but it also brings challenges in terms of squad planning due to the short notice period.“ The FC St. Pauli II team will start preparing for the new season in Regionalliga Nord on Monday. The vacancy in Regionalliga Nord, resulting from TSV Havelse's stay in 3. Liga, benefits FC St. Pauli's U23 team, allowing them to compete in the fourth tier despite their sporting relegation. The first matchday will take place on the weekend of 31.07.-02.08.2026. With the direct promoted team from Oberliga Niedersachsen, Atlas Delmenhorst, and the two best-placed teams from the promotion round, Eimsbütteler TV and SV Todesfelde, the Regionalliga Nord is now complete. Coach Karsten Neitzel and Sports Director Carsten Rothenbach can plan for the Regionalliga.
