FC St. Pauli loans young striker Romeo Aigbekaen to 3. Liga promoted team Fortuna Köln. The 21-year-old has had a professional contract with FC St. Pauli since January 2025, but has only played for the U23 team so far. In the Regionalliga Nord, he scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances. Sports director Andreas Bornemann explains the reasons for the loan: „In the past season, Romeo was repeatedly hindered by injuries and could only show what he can do irregularly.“ Aigbekaen will play for Fortuna Köln from now on. The striker also played for Fortuna Köln's youth team before moving to Hamburg via Hohenlind, 1. FC Köln II, Viktoria Köln, and Düren in 2024.
